About US; Campbell Films is a small American family business dedicated to the preservation of rare, historical films. Started in 2007 by a father and son, team. They have worked tirelessly to digitize, compile and create truly rare and unique DVD's to share with the world. The son went to film school and father is a veteran with the historical passion, so together they assembled the content of Campbell Films. Most likely you'll find things you haven't seen before. What's on this DVD;
1st Film; "Introduction in the Army". This film is by the Army (1944) and is about 2 young men (friends) join the Army after getting a notice form the Selective Service. These guys go through induction, Medical check, Barracks training, rifle range Etc. I do remember those days. I have to say that the Drill sergeants in the movie were much nicer than I remembered! 2nd Films: "Boot Camp; Field Training". This film is around 1942 and is somewhere off the Great Lakes. The GIs get field training on an island and live there for a couple of weeks. Bivouac!!! The eat, clean, cook, get Mail call, set up camp, pup tents, field mess camps, KP, and of course, Combat training. At one point, a plane buzzes the troops to train them even more. Hit the dirt! WW2. 3rd Film; "Men Against Tanks". This film was a captured NAZI training film redone by our US Army. This show how a Infantryman can take on a Tank and live. The film show a lot of a captured T-34 Russian Tank in the film. Really rare stuff and great to see. If a Nazi can kill a tank, than, so ca we. Runtime 14:31 Min's
4th Film; "Infantry Weapons"; This film shows how to use the weapons in the US Army during WW2. Starts of with the Colt 45, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand rifle, Rifle grenade launchers, BAR, Browning water-cooled machine-gun, Motors, Bazooka, the 37mm canon, 105 cannon. Also has a captured Nazi Tank that they practiced on. Maybe a Tiger? Really great stuff Runtime 28:48 Min's
5th Film; "War Training Newsreels". This is a collection of war training related newsreels during WW2. 1st, Caissons go rolling on. 2nd, How to Crawl with a Rifle. 3rd, Army Drafts Mules. 4th, Motorcycle training. 5th, Tanks and Jeeps tested. 6th, Soldiers get mail via movie film. 7th, Preparing for D-Day. 8t, Eddie Murphy Honored.
