This small statue depicts King Khufu, the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza. ,This 4-inch statuette is the only one confirmed attributable to this king. When it was first discovered, the head was missing. Sir Flinders Petrie remarked that the fracture was recent, and realizing the significance of this discovery, he ordered a search for the missing head, which was finally discovered three weeks later.
