Antique 1873 Engraving Print Pikes Peak or BUST! W.M. Cary Wagon Indian Attack
Features:
Fine original antique engraving print depicting the aftermath of an Indian attack on a covered wagon. One ox has died and the other is bristling with arrows. The settler lies on the ground with one boot off, presumably dead. A curious buffalo stands near, observing the site of the attack as buzzards soar above. The realism in this image is why W. M. Cary is known as one of the best Western artists of his period.
