SMALL GREEN METAL LUNCH BOX WITH THERMOS
This small green lunch box has its original thermos. The lunch box is heavily worn with dents and rust inside and out, the thermos is missing the vacuum lid and the glass lining. The lunch box measures approximately 8 5/8 inches across, 4 1/8 inches wide, and 6 ½ inches tall to the top of the lid. It has a star on each end. The latches are heavily rusted, there is rust on the bottom and on the inside, there are several dents as well. It is marked on the bottom but I am not able to read it. The metal wire that holds the thermos in place is still attached and has to be pushed down firmly or it doesn’t catch and the thermos will fall into the bottom of the lunch box when the lid is closed.
The thermos is blue with red stripes. The outside paint is heavily worn. The liner is missing, and so is the lid. It does have its original cup with a wire handle. The thermos is marked on the bottom, J. C. Higgins, Vacuum Bottle Made in USA Sold by Sears Roebuck NO 7310. The thermos stands approximately 8 inches tall the cup on top, and 6 ¾ inches without the cup on.
While not perfect, the lunch box would still display beautifully with other vintage collectibles from the same time period. When properly packaged it will ship at a 3 pound rate.
