- Subject/categories: Graphic Art Vtg Matchcover restaurant Winston Salem NC 1930s General Crowder Tigers Baseball - art deco - billliards
- Printing on back? written inscription "North Carolina - Tigers' Alvin Crowder"
- Info: "General" Alvin Crowder was a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers and pitched 3 World Series games 1933, 34,35 - retired to his home in late 30s and opened a restaurant, and two nearby pool halls in Winston Salem, one next door and the other across the street. To my knowledge this is not an autograph but the notation of either a collector who received as a gift, or from the collector who gathered at the location in the 1930s. Apparently the General was also a pool shark!
