This vintage postcard from 1913 Germany features beautiful pink roses over a woven basket back design, but the fun doesn't stop there! The artist added an embedded vignette bordered in flourishes that may or may not form a pig-shaped border. Within its bounds is a shallow shore lined with trees under which stands a man with his rod, standing by with his cow watering herself. The image hints another cow just out of view - also implying that the man and cow image was repurposed here from a larger work.

The card is made of paperboard with a plastic coating, giving it a glossy finish, which is peeling a bit due to age. Standard size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches, it's a great addition to any postcard collection or a unique gift for someone special.
