Tight, clean, flat, square book. Light wear. Some aging to the fold-out card tipped in to the book in front of the title page. Former class room library book with owner's stamps on the side. The letter "A" is buried in the gutter.
Coincidentally, when this book went to print, in 1957, I was in the first grade at this particular school. I came upon it MANY years later. Given the condition, it did not stay as a class room item too very long.
By the 6th printing, the GRUEN labeling had been removed. I had a copy that had separately movable hands.
Tommy's name was Tommy O'Toole, but his family called him "Tommy-Too-Late." Because that's what he was--always late.
Includes real clock hands inside the front book cover.
Publisher's Note: For many years we have wanted to bring out, at the lowest possible price, a book with real watch hands that would teach young children how to tell time. Here it is at last, and we hope that with the help of this little book millions of future adults will learn to be on time, and not to keep their husbands and/or wives waiting.
