Small Oval Hand Painted Tile Sailboat Scene Leta Glenn

 

This small oval tile measures approximately 6 x 4 OE inches at the longest and widest points. It features a sailboat on a calm body of water with a small outcropping of land with trees on it to one side, and what to me, appears to be a sunrise in the distance. The name Leta Glenn (or at least that is what it looks like to me) is written near the bottom edge. The scene is done very nicely. I could find only minor wear from age on it. The back of the tile is marked: H & R Johnson Ltd, Made in England.
