Big comfy chairs that sat in a Jersey City NJ beauty salon that closed in the 1960s. They show use/sitting wear as pictured. If they could only talk!
One chair has a small hole on the back as pictured. These are some sort of thick naugahyde-type material with actual stitched thread to make this wild design. I've never seen anything like these. Solid wood frame. Inset removeable aluminum ashtrays. No makers info found.
The cushion part where your fanny sits is approximately 22x 17 in. The portion your back leans against is approx. 20 x 16 in. Outside of armrest to outside of armrest is approx 28 in. The seat is about 16 inches from the floor. They are 30 inches tall.
These chairs are crazy cool. Some TLC and restoration might be in order. These chairs will definitely turn some heads.
