This is an old original from the years this etching was printed.

The paper stock has a nice compression impression around the etching from the weight of the print press and is more yellow than the photo shows, about the color of an almond.

There is a bit of uneveness in the darkening around the etching, ZOOM in on all photos.

In the photo there is a white spot on one of the flowers but it was just chalk and I since have brushed that spot off.

he studied art in Nuremberg Germany 1920's and was in the US in the 1930's. 

Some of his etchings have sold globally for a lower amount because they were newer and probably were not in their original frame.  This has the original frame.

Soon available is much older etching of same structures by Waltter Friedel c.1905, when there were wooden stairs and carts on the street.  The streets were since cleaned-up with concrete stairs, and street grading and upgrades for the automobile!
