His excursion begins with a dawn patrol, surfing the waves as the sun rises. Next they battle the perilous ocean in an outrigger canoe followed by a turn at the extreme new sport, kite surfing. The pinnacle of Phil's trip is a 12-mile paragliding adventure off the mighty Haleakula volcano.
