Product Description:

This 12-cube Ice Maker is an after market Replacement Part designed to fit into LG refrigerators. The set contains all the necessary components for an ice maker, including the complete housing. Please note, the ice bucket is not part of this package. The unit requires a 1/4 inch hex head screw and nut driver or socket for replacement. Proper operation is ensured by a clean ice-detecting sensor and a closed ice bin compartment door.

For the replacement process, remove the ice bin and detach the icemaker/auger assembly from the unit by removing a series of screws: one in the middle of the door below the icemaker, two next to the ice chute, and one at the top left corner. The assembly is then disconnected with the wiring, allowing the new unit to be installed. Following replacement, allow a period of 12 to 24 hours for ice production to start
