Offered for your consideration here is what is known as a Gohonzon Buddhist mandala used in worship in various Nichiren Buddhist Sects. All the Nichiren sects of this Buddhism venerate the founder 13th century priest known as Nichiren Daishonin (Nichiren Shonin in some sects).

They focus their prayers towards the scroll and chant the words Nam Myoho Renge Kyo (some sects say Namu followed by Myoho Renge Kyo).

The mandala measures (including the frame) approx.11.5 inches by 14.0 inches.

The Nichiren Gohonzon mandala being offered was issued by the Kempon Hokke Organization here in the U.S.

It was acquired by us through another person who had acquired IT from an actual former member of the Kempon Hokke Shu who no longer is a practicing member of that Organization.

Our understanding is that this Gohonzon has had many heartfelt sincere hours & hours of daimoku (Nam Myoho Renge Kyo) chanted to it in the last 10+ years (as relayed to us from the person we acquired it from). If you are a sensitive, you can feel the energy with this mandala!!!

The Gohonzon can be removed from the frame should you wish and put into another frame or perhaps if you wanted too.....have it professionally mounted onto a scroll brocade.

Please note AGAIN that this is the actual Gohonzon that was issued by a Kempon Hokke priest here in the U.S. to the former member. The member had it framed after receiving it and put it into his butsudan (altar). It has a trackable history!!!
