This is a very nice, rare coin to own and collect. It’s in excellent condition. This is the coin you will receive.

In an effort to discourage hoarding, a bill was passed near the end of 1970 to change the composition of circulation-strike Kennedy half dollars to consist of two outer layers of copper and nickel bonded to an inner core of pure copper. This 1971 Philadelphia Mint issue is the first year of this change
