HANDCARVED SOAP STONE ASIAN STYLE DOUBLE VASE

This petite hand carved soapstone piece features two small vase or pot like openings one on each side. It has decorative open fretwork and detailed leaves flowing between the two pots. It stands approximately 2 ¾ inches tall, and measures approximately 4 ¾ inches across the front, and 1 inch front to back.  Would be cute displayed with other Asian and Chinese carved soapstone pieces.  Use it to hold toothpicks, small incense sticks, or as a cigarette and match holder. It is in as found condition, from the estate of an antique dealer who owned a high end antique store that closed in 2006. I believe the age to be circa the mid 1940s - 50s.  There signs of wear and patina due to age and use.
