Large chess set representing the Chinese Qing Dynasty {1664-1922 }
A full set of chess playing piece in cream and burgundy. Complete set.
The main chess pieces are the Chinese Emperor as king, the queen is Boddihsatva Guanyn, the bishop is Sage Confucio, Knights and rooks are Chinese sage or imortals and the pawns are field warriors
Made from polystone, a mixture of resin and stone powder making each piece quite heavy. Weight of set approx; over 2 kilo 100g.
Unglazed look.
Made in England around 1980
Dimensions approx; King; 13 cm tall. Pawn; 9.2 cm tall.
Pre-owned. Good condition. There may be light signs of wear consistant with normal use as this is a vintage / pre-loved item. PLEASE NOTE that there are some small damages, visible signs of paint wear in places, small dents, a small chipped piece loose in container.
