Ceramic Arts Studio (Madison WI 1940-55) is well-known for its beautifully designed & decorated figurines of people & animals.  

This is called "Wee Dutch Girl" & was one of a number of "Foreign Costume" figurines made by CAS in 1947.    

She is 3" tall and 1-1/2 inches wide & 1-3/4 inches front to back.  

Great mold & hand-painted detail with naturally blushed cheeks, typical of CAS pieces.  She is marked on the bottom with the CAS inkstamp.
