Also known as nutmeg flower, this pretty blue or white flower is followed by unusual inflated seed pods. Aromatic seeds used used as seasoning in the Mediterranean, Middle East and India where it is sometimes used in curries, or on bread and cakes. In France is is also called four spice and could be described as having a lemon-carrot scent. Has medicinal qualities, and can be placed in clothing to repel insects.
