In 1904, Thomas Dugan, purchased the closed Northwood glass factory located in Indiana, Pennsylvania 
and founded Dugan Glass. He left the company in 1913, at which time the company became the Diamond Glass Company. 
Diamond Glass continued to produce Dugan patterns until a major fire in 1931 destroyed the factory. It never reopened.
