Civil War Confederate petition letter from Stephen Butcher to the Vicksburg,Mississippi Police Board of Warren County . The letter is requesting monetary relief for the disabled soldier fund from a injury he suffered at the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain,Georgia. Butcher refers to the board his authenticity of his military career to Captain Joseph Hayelett and Col. C.B.Buckner.
