With vitamins, zinc and copper
Our eyes are fascinating but also very sensitive sensory organs. In order to maintain our eyesight into old age, our eyes need special care and, among other things, a range of micronutrients. Since micronutrients cannot usually be produced by the body (essential micronutrients), they must be taken in through food. The German Nutrition Society therefore recommends eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, i.e. around 500-600 g. One portion is roughly equivalent to two full hands.
The eyes are exposed to increased levels of oxidative stress due to the process of seeing and the constant exposure to light. Vitamin E, vitamin C and zinc help protect against oxidative stress.
Vit-Ophtal with 10 mg lutein is a dietary supplement that offers useful support to the nutrients taken in through food. It contains essential micronutrients such as vitamin C and E, zinc and copper and supports, among other things, the protective system of the eyes.
