Juniper procumbens nana, also called Dwarf Japanese garden juniper is an evergreen low growing ground cover conifer. Grows 8 inches to 1 oe foot tall and spreads over time to form a dense mat up to 6 - 10 foot wide.
Prized for its foliage that features spiny-pointed bright green new growth that turns blue-green when mature and slightly purplish in winter.
Makes an easy to care choice for Bonsai or a container.
Great choice for a mass planting on a rocky slope, or a specimen planting. Is deer resistant, tolerates hot, dry areas and grows in variety of soils in full or part sun. Moisture requirements are moderate. Water when top 2 inches of soil are dry. Does not like waterlogged soil. Plant in USDA Zones 4-9.
