ReplacementRadios, one of the largest factory audio/video websites, has branched out!!   If you’ve been to our site, you know we have a HUGE selection of OEM radios and compatible accessories.  Now we’re offering a few select products here too.  Same great ReplacementRadios quality.....in a new location.

DETAILS
These are female plugs for use with original factory GM 14/16-pin radio wiring. Pigtails of approximately 6 inches are attached. An extra wire (red) is included for switched power and connection of it will need made at the same time. This is necessary because power turn-on is controlled through a LAN BUS wire on the factory radio, but your aftermarket radio will not be capable of communicating with the LAN BUS. It will need it's own power wire.

These would be plugged over your existing male radio plugs in order to convert to an aftermarket radio. There was another set of 14/16 plugs offered in GM vehicles, so make sure your radio part number and/or vehicle is listed in this ad.

You may have rear seat audio, CD changer, On-Star, XM radio, DVD, etc. Your aftermarket radio will not be compatible with any of those options. **See additional info below.

This style of plug was used on many Buick, Chevy, GMC, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn radios that were approximately 5 1/2 inches tall, starting in 2006. Some vehicles used a different version, so make sure your radio part number and/or vehicle are listed in this ad. See APPLICATIONS below for examples of vehicles that used these plugs. Here is a list of GM radio part numbers known to use these plugs:

These plugs will have the aftermarket standard wire colors, so wire assignment is easily identified on them. Simply snap these into place over the factory plugs and mate up the wires with the like colors on your aftermarket radio harness. Note: Our supplier sometimes casts the plugs themselves in a different color plastic. Sometimes the two plugs are joined together and sometimes they are separate. (We show pictures of both styles in the ad so you can see what we're referring to. You're NOT getting enough plugs to do two radios.) Obviously neither of the two slight differences just mentioned have an impact on use.

**Please note: use of these plugs does not provide for retention of features in the vehicle like door chimes, steering wheel control, OnStar, etc. You will need to purchase interface modules for your aftermarket radio if you wish to retain features normally controlled by or played through the factory radio. For example, some radios support a rear seat video system. Those use two additional plugs. They are not included in this listing because your aftermarket radio will not support the video system without addition of an interface. (If one even exists.) You will also need to wire power for your aftermarket radio directly to a switched power source in the vehicle. GM used the LAN system for power management to the radio, so the vehicle plugs are missing switched power, which your aftermarket radio will need. That is what the separate red wire is for.

SHIPPING, HANDLING & RETURNS

  • Shipping cost is based on weight and zip code.  This site does the figuring, not us.  If you feel their calculation is high, you might be underestimating the package weight and/or current shipping costs from our zip code (62401) to yours.  Please don't ding us for shipping in the ratings, as we have no control over ever-increasing carrier rates.
  • We will enter a tracking number into your order details here on the site.  They will email it to you if your notification preferences are set correctly.
  • A signature is not typically required. If you are not home to receive the package, it will most likely be left at your door.  Please monitor it's progress and arrange to collect it when it arrives.
  • This site provides a section/tab in each ad for Shipping information.  We encourage you to check that section for prices, methods, time-frames, etc.
