The ONLY reason that this item has been listed as only "Like New," is because the lower left corner of the outside plastic seal has been cut away, where the price tag had been. Otherwise this is an entirely unopened and unwatched DVD collection!I purchased this brand new for my sister when it first was released in 2006 -- but she NEVER opened it!!! So it is still FACTORY SEALED (except for that front lower left corner)!
Amongst the rare treats of watching the original WALT DISNEY'S MICKEY MOUSE CLUB for the first time in 1955, was the daily episodes of THE ADVENTURES OF SPIN & MARTY, a 25 chapter serial of about 11 minutes each, which featured TIM CONSIDINE as the rural boy Spin Evans, matching wits (and sometimes fists!) with city boy Marty Markham, as played by David Stollery. Arriving in a chauffeur-driven car, Marty has been sent to a summer camp ranch for boys, which he considers to be nothing more than a "dirty old farm," and soon finds himself fully at odds with the less-advantaged Spin, the most popular boy at the camp. While Marty comes off as a know-it-all, he has a deep-seated fear of horses; and soon most of the other boys want nothing to do with him, and he and Spin soon find themselves face-to-face in a boxing ring. Eventually, Marty loses his fear of horses, and he and the other boys gradually learn to be friends -- even Spin comes around! All in all, a very entertaining and amusing slice of 1950s life, set on a real ranch!
