CHA0202  This is a vintage large 10x8 hand signed photo for Gerry Wilmot,Canadian-born Gerry Wilmot broadcast Hockey games CBC in the 1930s, earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as "the world's fastest sports commentator." He was a war correspondent based in London during World War II, winning an MBE.In the 1950s he broadcast Record Hop for Radio Luxembourg. Later in worked in television and in theater management in Bermuda, Rhodesia and South Africa.  It has been personally signed by Gerry Wilmot where his signature rests perfectly accompanying his portrait undedicated - it is mostly outstanding condition but edge borders have a little browning in occasional places and there are edge handling in border places too so whilst otherwise excellent my grading is vg+.. an extremely rare signing and on reverse of the photo is the large ATV television logo and the signing dated obtained in November 1955.
