There are still stones remaining from the early Tokugawa period, more than 300 years ago.

How about your guardian deity?

Founded in 1927, this stonework store has been working with stone ever since.
The "value of stone" cultivated by the founder is being shared with more people.
Inagaki Stonework, founded by the founder, Seiichi Inagaki ,
is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary in just a few years.
Seiichi was small enough to have been spared conscription during wartime.
However, with just his small stature, he was able to work with large stones,
sometimes measuring over 6F7in (approximately 2m), and left behind many stone statues.

The history and techniques that the founder built up singlehandedly have been passed down without interruption,
and Inagaki Stonework has been blessed with many encounters through the natural object of stone,
and has made progress with stone up to this day, such as a stone wall repair project at Matsumae Castle in Hokkaido that took several months to complete,
a stone statue to be placed in Kenninji Temple,
one of the Five Mountains of Kyoto, and the Traditional Craft Industry Grand Prize won by the second-generation founder, Hideo Inagaki.
We will continue to work hard to live up to the legacy we have inherited over the years and convey the value of stone to as many people as possible.
