Here's some interesting history about Balls Mill Naval Academy:

This still exists in the village of Balls Mills. The legend behind it is that a long time ago, a man went to the Annapolis Naval Academy. This was very unusual since all his friends and brothers were farmers. He'd come home during summers but they didn't want him to become too "high-falutin" so they began a Naval Academy of their own.
