Personal Letter written on Chicago Tribune Stationery World's Greatest Newspaper

A 2 sided typed Personal Letter written on Chicago Tribune Stationery . From a reporter to his mother and aunt.

The Chicago Tribune was known as the "World's Greatest Newspaper" from 1911 until the late 1970s. The slogan was used by Robert R. McCormick, who led the paper from the 1910s to the 1950s and increased its circulation from 230,000 in 1912 to 650,000 in 1925. The Tribune's braggadocio and nativist editorial stance under McCormick's ownership contributed to the slogan. The paper's motto was also "The American Paper for Americans" for a time.
