The New Haven Railroad in the Streamline Era Hardcover by Geoffrey H. Doughty
Pictures are the best description
Like New excellent condition hardcover. Came from a railroad man who collected almost anything railroad related.
This book illustrates the history of the New Haven Railroad's passenger operations in the era of the streamlined train beginning in 1934
with its first lightweight car order through to the railroad's experimentation with the ultra-lightweight trains of the mid-1950s and into the troubled 1960s.
It is filled with historical background information and photographs that illustrate New Haven paint schemes on cars and locomotives.
Over 140 spectacular color photos, 40 black & white and car roster and floor plans with interesting adds from that time period.
I have more railroad books in other listings as well.
