Description
This stunning true vintage Vanity Fair nightgown is maxi length, silky opaque pale blue Nylon, with pleated chiffon hem and pleated chiffon ruffles at the neckline in front and back. Under the bust/bra area are two shiny blue satin ribbons that are attached under the bust and trail to be wrapped and tied in back to define the raised waist in a figure flattering empire style. The pleated neckline also forms the straps, and I believe can be worn on the shoulders, or slightly draped off the shoulders, as shown on mannequin who has 32 inch bust. This is labeled a size 34, but is generously cut because it is loose in the back and can be adjusted with the ribbons. Would probably fit up to 36 inches at the bust, as well as 32 to 34.
Very femine and romantic, perfect for a bridal trousseau or honeymoon...something blue.
Condition is consistent with age and light, gentle use. This is exceptional, with no issues noted.
