In great condition with minimal usage. Looks and works like new. Includes the original roll of sealing bags, which hasn't been used, for I mostly used quart bags for sealing our garden beans, peppers, etc.
includes the adapter and hose to vacuum evacuate the very convenient zipper top bags, for items that you wish to open and re-seal frequently. Greatly increases the refrigeration life for fruits and vegetables to get them out of the moist, oxygen environment.
Now, for the extras as promised. The retail cost of these add-ons amounts a total that is what the asking price is for the bundle. So, in essence, you're getting the vacuum sealer machine for free when you buy the storage bags and containers.
I used the quart bags to vacuum seal freshly roasted whole coffee beans, which I buy in 5 lb bags. This saves greatly over the smaller bags, and immediately breaking it down to quart bags and sealing them in a diminished oxygen environment preserves the fresh flavor of the coffee. I am including the majority of a box of 1 quart bags. This has (by my counting today) a total of 79 bags, so 21 have been used. These retail for $12 for a box of 20 pre-cut quart bags, so (slightly less than) a $48 value.
For more fragile items, a rigid container is extremely helpful, and uses the hose connected adapter to evacuate the air, without crushing the herbs, fruit, etc. For these items, FoodSaver makes a non-BPA rigid plastic container, with a plate at the both to keep any condensation off the food. As pictured, I am including 3 of these in this sale. These can also effectively prolong the shelf life of non-refrigerated other perishable items. This model of container is not in the new FoodSaver web site, but the listings for these go for about $20 each, so $60 value.
Final one of the EXTRA items: another attachment, with a circular sealing ring, that fits perfectly the zipper seal reusable storage bags. The sealer attachment that comes with the FoodSaver is oval, which fits the rigid sided containers perfectly. The circle of this attachment is circular, which fits the zipper bags better.
Given the bulk of the items, the shipping is likely to be much gentler using UPS or even FedEx over the US Postal Service. Scan through your choices and I will go with the service you designate.
Of course, if you're in the Boston area, local pickup is available!
