Tanzanian African Tribal Framed Embroidered Leather Chair Backs?/Wall Hangings?

Good condition with some wear, stains, scuffs, loose stitching and a small tear in leather as shown in photos.

These are a recent estate sale find and I'm not sure if they were made to be installed on the back of folding chairs as one listing showed or as wall hangings? There are no holes or hardware evident that show they were used as a chair back. These are being sold as is, as decoration pieces. Only one similar item shows up in a Google search and it was sold so they are probably a rare item.
