Allegheny Serviceberry (Amelanchier laevis)

A low maintenance, small deciduous tree or large shrub native to Eastern North America. It's known for its adaptability to a range of soil types, thriving in both full sun and partial shade. This makes it versatile for USDA zones 4 to 9.

Typically growing to 15-25 feet tall, the Allegheny Serviceberry forms a rounded, open crown. It features showy, white flowers in early spring, followed by sweet, edible berries in summer that attract birds and humans.

The leaves are elliptical and turn a striking orange-red in autumn, adding seasonal interest. This tree is often used in naturalized or woodland gardens, as a specimen plant, or in mass plantings for its ornamental qualities.

Plants ship with leaves in spring and summer and are sent dormant throughout fall and winter. They are currently 33-41" tall and will be pruned to fit into a 36" box and to promote branching.

For best growth, plant in well-drained soil and provide regular watering, especially in dry conditions.
