This Cyberpunk-styled long sword has been uniquely designed to embody the essence of future close combat, where traditional blades may fall short in the flickering neon lights. It emphasizes precision, elegance, and power—qualities that define the spirit of blade.
Introduction:
Katanas living their renesance through out cyberpunk universes. There is a harmonious beauty when an ancient concept crosses lines with advanced technology. Since we first created our initial two vibro blade style katanas for a custom order in 2021, we are excited to introduce new versions to a wider audience. That’s why we have created the Hyperion Tachi Blade and the Hyperion Wakizashi Blade.
When designing new props, we always strive to create a lore or backstory to add realism and borrow a look of an actual functioning object. While thermal katanas are a forward-thinking evolution of traditional katanas, we have taken it a step further. The fundamental principle behind a vibro blade is the presence of a resonator module affixed to the blade itself. The purpose of this unit is to make the blade resonate at an ultra-high frequency, having the capability to penetrate almost any material, in the known physical universe.
Materials and parts:
The standard material of the blade is a high-grade magnesium alloy and you can also choose a superior, ultra high-qrade, hardened steel version. As the very first step of the manufacturing, the shape of the sword was precision CNC milled from a single block of metal. Following the cutting process, the serial number is engraved. Since a simple paint job would not have met our expectations, to provide a smooth, matte surface we used the combination of two methods: sand blasting and eloxation in the case of the standard blade, and phosphate coating on the hardened steel one. The steel version has a lighter gray color compared to the anodized magnesium alloy due to its manufacturing techniques. The final step at the metal works was the CNC mill of the edges. The parts of the handle, the heat block and the vibration module were precision 3D printed. After that, each part was individually sanded and painted before being assembled with the blade. As one of the final steps we have added our weathering techniques, tear marks and details.
The steel version is exclusively made for order! The manufacturing time vary between 4-10 weeks depending on our current workload!

The sword itself is a 1:1, true to size of a long-tachi style katana blade.
