About the item:
This postcard comes from DC's 75th Anniversary postcard set, The Vintage Art of DC Comics released in 2010. Best of all, it is actually signed by hand by both the issue writer, Steve Englehart, and the issue artist, Joe Staton. Measuring approximately 4 by 5 1/2 inches, it is in near mint condition and will be shipped with the utmost care. Please note- the signatures are real. They are the actual, hand-signed signatures of the comic creators stated. They are not pre-printed images on the postcard.
About Barbara Friedlander:
Writing and editing for DC Comics for most of the 1960's, Barbara Friedlander created DC's teen humor comic Swing with Scooter and wrote or edited numerous stories for the companies romance line of comics, including the Archie-like Date with Debbi as well as Girls' Romances, Heart Throbs, Secret Hearts, Teen Beam, Young Love, and Young Romance. She also worked on DC's preeminent Silver Age try-out title Showcase (editing issue #'s 68-70 in 1967).
Excepting pack-pulled autograph trading cards, CGC Signature Series, signed Sideshow prints, and like collectibles, all autographed items Vault Collectibles sells were personally witnessed, by myself, being signed by the writer, artist, or celebrity in question. No third party is involved. Further, art sketches - and most published original art I sell - were obtained directly from the artist themselves.
