Supports you and the normal development of your baby
In advanced pregnancy, nutrition plays an important role. Calorie intake should only increase slightly in the second and third trimesters - instead, more vitamins and minerals are needed. Particular attention should be paid to nutrients such as iodine, iron, folate and omega-3 fatty acids. In addition to a balanced and varied diet, experts explicitly recommend supplementing with iodine to ensure an adequate supply of the trace element. Femin AL 3 Pregnancy is specially tailored to the needs from the 13th week of pregnancy until birth. The dietary supplement provides you with a selected combination of important nutrients to specifically support you and the normal development of your child.
Important nutrients with just 1 capsule per day
The dosage is simple and practical: 1 capsule a day is enough!
Each soft capsule contains a variety of nutrients that are particularly important now. Folic acid supports, among other things, the growth of maternal tissue (e.g. placenta), cell division, normal blood formation and normal function of the immune system. The active form of folic acid, L-methylfolate, in Femin AL 3 Pregnancy can be used directly by the body. Iodine plays an important role in the physical and mental development of the child. The omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function in mother and child.
1
The formula is supplemented with other selected vitamins and minerals for the increased requirement in late pregnancy as well as lutein, a natural radical scavenger.
1
The intake of DHA (polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid) by the mother contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus. Contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function.
RECOMMENDED USE:
Take 1 soft capsule per day with sufficient liquid, preferably after a meal. The recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.
Dietary supplements are no substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
You should avoid these when eating
During pregnancy, a varied mix of foods rich in vitamins and nutrients is advisable, but caution is required with some products, as they may contain listeriosis or toxoplasmosis pathogens. Infections are rare in this country, but they can harm your unborn child. You should therefore avoid raw foods of animal origin, especially raw milk and raw milk products, raw meat and raw sausage (e.g. salami, tea sausage) as well as raw and smoked fish (e.g. sushi, smoked salmon). Wash fruit, salad and vegetables that you want to eat raw thoroughly beforehand. Hygiene must always be observed in the kitchen and when preparing food. To protect yourself from salmonella, you should only eat eggs that have been thoroughly cooked.
Stay active during pregnancy
If the pregnancy is progressing normally, there is nothing to stop you from continuing to be physically active.
On the contrary: regular exercise - ideally around 30 minutes a day - promotes your well-being and is also good for your baby.
Moderate endurance sports such as walking, cycling, swimming or pregnancy gymnastics are recommended - the main thing is that you enjoy it and that it is not too strenuous. It is best to discuss with your gynecologist how intensive the training should be. Sport does not fit into your busy daily routine? Smaller exercise units, e.g. cycling to work or a brisk walk during your lunch break, can also be easily fitted into everyday life.
Frequently asked questions and answers
How do my calorie requirements change during pregnancy?
Unlike nutrient requirements, energy requirements only increase slightly during pregnancy. If physical activity remains the same as before pregnancy, the guideline value of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) is an additional 250 calories per day in the 2nd trimester and 500 kcal in the 3rd trimester.* It is recommended that the additional calories be obtained from nutrient-rich foods. If physical activity decreases as the pregnancy progresses, there is no need to increase energy intake.
