RARE set of 4 matted and framed Vintage to Antique Architectural Drawings. Based on the condition of the frames and the way they are put together, they are definitely vintage. Some paint is peeling on the frames but glass and paper backing is preserving the drawings.

The son of Italian immigrants, George J. Maguolo studied architecture at Washington University before entering the Army in November 1917.  Cpl. Maguolo served in France with Company A, 29th Engineers as part of the General Headquarters Staff until 1919.  As a draftsman and cartographer, Maguolo spent most of his time behind the lines.  This gave him a unique perspective on the war. Maguolo resumed his studies at Washington University after the war.
