This listing is for a CRYSTAL GLASS DRESSER JAR that was made during the 19th Century ART NOUVEAU American Brilliant Period (ABP). The STERLING SILVER lid is finely detailed with a HIGH RELIEF of a LADY & CUPID with a ROSE GARLAND. The lid is stamped STERLING, PAT'D and numbered 2000 and has 3 FANCY SCRIPT INITIALS 'MEC' engraved in the center cartouche.
This crystal jar is HEAVY weighing 1 lb 5.3 ounces and the lid weighs an addition 54 grams. The lid has a couple dents on the side and I do not know if these can be straightened out. The inside of the lid looks like is has a light gold wash. Measures 3-5/8" tallest point by 4.25" in diameter with a top opening of 2.5" in diameter. The lid has been lightly polished but it still had patina so it will be up to the buyer if they want it polished more. The crystal is beautifully cut and without any damage. It does have one tiny air bubble on the bottom from when it was made.
