Description

The McDonnell Douglas (now BoeingAV-8B Harrier II is a single-engine ground-attack aircraft that constitutes the second generation of the Harrier family, capable of vertical or short takeoff and landing (V/STOL). The aircraft is primarily employed on light attack or multi-role missions, ranging from close air support of ground troops to armed reconnaissance. The AV-8B is used by the United States Marine Corps (USMC), the Spanish Navy, and the Italian Navy. A variant of the AV-8B, the British Aerospace Harrier II, was developed for the British military, while another, the TAV-8B, is a dedicated two-seat trainer.

This   kit comes with Y-Kraft decals   YouTube has several videos of this aircraft in different paint schemes that you should watch for excellent reference!

This item is manufactured by "4 D" as a "puzzle model" and is designed, we suppose, to be put together and taken apart over and over?
But actually, the quality of the kit is excellent, and is so well engineered that when you assemble it it will stay assemnled without glue. But not being the only model of this aircraft we have ever seen in 1/144 scale, we offer it as a serious scale model to be built by skilled hobbyists who have the tools and materials to give it justice.

We recommend you acquire some Squadron Putty or equivalent. One tube will last for years for a busy 1/144 model kit builder.
The kit is very nicely made and includes a stand.
Another interesting feature is that the landing gear parts are molded in CLEAR plastic which we've never seen before, and serves to enhance the appearance of the model on its stand. Of course you can paint the landing gear if you wish.
We provide decals for the kits from Y-Kraft in Japan.
Some "4D" kit reviews indicate there are no landing gear doors provided, so we include some sheet styrene plastic for creating the landing gear doors for the kits.

Note: This kit is not in it's original box, it comes bagged with the "kit box art"
