Tiny mid 1800s mourning brooch that has hair under original glass.  The hair is dark and tightly woven.  The has a C clasp and tube hinge. There are some dark/black enamel style details on the tips of the twist style edges.

The brooch measures measures 5/8" high and 7/8" across.  The pin stem is slightly wavy and fits well in the C clasp.    

The piece is in nice antique condition.  The glass is very nice.  The gold plated surface has normal mild surface scratches and some wear.  Some of the enamel is worn.  Overall, nice looking antique piece.   Please see photos as part of the description.  They are enlarged to show detail.
