HARPER & BROTHERS, NY, 1933. STATED 7th Printing 153pp, James Thurber's superb drawings throughout including endpapers. Striking Thurber illustrated yellow-green boards in a hard to find edition
Really his masterpiece, absolutely hilarious, with brilliant drawings.
Lovely collectible condition. Internally crisp clean bright, mildest age shading around edges, boards; some age to the spine with surface-only water damage. Name and original price are penciled onto the inside cover. Only very mild library smell.
Very nice readable copy of a Thurber masterpiece. Terrific book in lovely condition for the collector.
This hugely funny autobiographical memoir that takes into account the crumbling of empires, talks "largely about small matters and smally about great affairs". Mostly it is about the wildly incredible things people do when they think they are acting sensibly. Cartoons!
