The Hoya pubicalyx has dark green, glossy leaves with silver or silver-pink variegation. It produces clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers that can be pink or deep maroon. 

The Hoya pubicalyx prefers bright, indirect light, warm, humid conditions, and well-draining soil. It can be grown in an orchid medium or light potting mix with lots of bark conditioner. The plant should be watered when the potting mix is dry, but it shouldn't be left in water. 

The Hoya pubicalyx can be grown in a hanging basket or mounted on a wall. It can also be trained to climb a wooden hoop. 

The Hoya pubicalyx is drought tolerant and can tolerate average home humidity. It can be pruned to remove dead or brown leaves and control growth. The plant can be fertilized once a month during the spring and summer with a ½ strength complete liquid fertilizer.
