THE COVER Gary L. Anderson, shown here at the 1975 National High Power Rifle Championships he recently won at Camp Perry, Ohio, is prob- ably the best known competition rifleman in America. A state senator from Axtell, Nebr., he has been an NRA Director and member of the National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice since 1969.
