With some research I located William Adam with father Nicholas Adam in Cobden. Nicholas had a brother Louis who had a son Louis who lived in New Ulm which appears to be the postmark cancel.

Louis b1902 d1989 he married Rosa Penkert. They had children Betty, Doris, Jerome, Kenneth, Beverly, David and James.
