What a wonderful old find this was and when you see all the hand detailed work that went into you, you will be totally intrigued. Each carved? bead has teeny tiny twisted wire that fits in each of the ribs and they have hand wrought bead caps. The center piece to this lovely antique necklace is a larger carved ? piece that looks almost like a pineapple. From it hangs tiny turquoise color beads and coral colored beads. The necklace also has a hand wrought etruscan gilt bead that holds the pendant. This necklace measures 18" long with an additional 3" drop. Very primitive and very very unique! Possibly these types of beads are a symbol of something from that culture?.
