#43 in the Grosset and Dunlap series, this is the very first printing. It is a picture cover book - it was never issued as a book plus dust jacket.

176 pages. Text is the original and has not been revised. Black/white endpapers. No writing or marks at all in this lovely book.

Gently used. Slight to moderate edge and corner wear, slight to moderate spine slant. Spine tracks at the hinges but no looseness. No musty odor; at back endpapers there's a very small amount of blue block ink spotting.

This is a very pleasing, tight and pretty clean book, and has held up extremely well for its 44-year age.

Per Farah's 12th, a 1966A-1 first printing of this book is valued at $30.00 in 2005. This one is a steal at $17.50.
