THE LONE SCOUT OF THE SKY by James E. West

The John C. Winston Co., Boy Scout Edition, 1928

Condition: Near Very Good

In the late 1920s, Charles Lindbergh was regarded as a great American hero for his historic solo flight from New York to Paris,  This book tells his story, with an emphasis on his relationship with the Boy Scouts of America and on the conviction that he was the embodiment of the Scout Oath.  The book has many photos and other illustrations, and also contains complete instructions on how to make a flying model of his legendary plane, The Spirit of St. Louis.  Printing on the pastedowns show that this copy was used in Texas schools.  But, despite some bits of exterior wear, this is a solid copy.
