Will you just look at the lining on this wool cap, leather band of course and a satin lining. Has a small hole hole up front, I don't think it is a moth or insect nibble but more of a tiny tear. I wondered the moment I saw it if it might be a woman's cap. NOS ("New, Old Stock") cap from vintage surplus.

Attribution to the best of my ability, it does look wartime to me and the only similar one I could find () is identified as WWII.
