This is an adorable brooch depicting a Canadian Goose. It is signed and dated “Jacqui 94”. Jacqui Ertischek is an Alaskan artist specializing in “new clay” jewelry. She piece together clays to form intricate patterns without the use of any paint. Her work is easily recognized. Each of her “one of a kind” pieces is signed and dated. She is the owner of 2 Friends Gallery in Anchorage, Alaska and is known for her handmade jewelry and paintings. This pin was one of Jacqui's Originals and came from Anchorage, Alaska. She has shown her work at the Buyers’ Market of American Crafts as well as the Museum Store Association Expo. She has also created products for the Anchorage Museum and the Alaska Native Heritage Center. She is also a published author of children's books that include adventures in Alaska. This brooch is just under 3 inches long and 2 inches tall. The colors include browns, blues, whites, and black.

It is in excellent vintage condition as you can see from the many enlarged photographs. The rollover clasp on the back works just fine. The gold tone brass wire feet are nice and secure. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would make a fantastic gift for any naturalist, animal lover or someone who cares about wildlife. If you know a duck hunter, this would be perfect pinned to the brim of a hat or on a jacket lapel. It is a one of a kind pin that is sure to be a conversation starter.
