This cat brooch or pin is done in gold tone metal. The rhinestones are all prong set on the body, ears and the collar. The large rhinestone for the body is a deep turquoise color, the head is a dark blue and the ears are an opalescent blue. The collar is made up of four light blue small rhinestones. All the stones are set in a gold tone bezel. The back is totally enclosed. The tail is textured in a candy cane spiral type striping. There is no signature or hallmark that I can find. It is a similar style to the Dodds Cat Brooch.

It is in very good vintage condition. There is a very small defect on the edge of the large stone that I believe is original to the stone. You have to search to find it without magnification. All the stones have a nice bright sparkle and shine to them. The large stone has a few tiny spots in the very back of the stone where it is mounted in, but you can't see it without a magnifying glass. The back shows very little wear if any and has a standard pin back with a safety clasp. It measures just over 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches wide from the tip of the tail to the tip of the whisker on the opposite side.

This would be perfect for any cat lover or to add to your collection of vintage rhinestone jewelry.
